Origin: Formed within English, by derivation; modelled on a Greek lexical item. Etymons: self- prefix, judged adj.
Etymology: < self- prefix + judged adj., originally after Hellenistic Greek ἀυτοκατάκριτος (New Testament: Titus 3:11). Compare earlier self-judgement n., self-judging n., and self-judging adj., and slightly later self-judge v.
