There is no name for the corresponding unit on the British system. 1963 van Wijk & Ubing in W. R. van Wijk Physics of Plant Environment iii. 90 In photometry a black body at the temperature of melting platinum (2042·16°K) is used as a standard light source. It has by definition a surface brightness of 60 candelas per cm2 or 60 stilb, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the surface.
